The Westphal area has an area of lower income apartments on Kennedy Drive. These areas were the first bedroom communities of Dartmouth with home construction beginning the 1950’s and continuing up to the 1980’s expanding to Nantucket.

The community of Dartmouth is known as the “City of Lakes” and is famous for its long history of both recreational and high-performance paddling and rowing.

The East Dartmouth Community Centre, located in the heart of the area, is a state-of-the-art facility offering programs and services to all ages, abilities, and cultures. It is the permanent home of the Boys and Girls Club of Dartmouth, and offers programming such as badminton, yoga, tai chi, and pickleball.
